April News

With Spring arriving, the month of April brought the beginning of the Horse Show season.  The first show of the year was at Bucks County Horse Park where riders got the opportunity to compete in dressage and show jumping as well as jump some cross country jumps set up in a course in the main arena!  It was a beautiful and fun day.

The next horse show was the USEF Princeton Show Jumping competition at Hunter Farms.  Wild At Heart competed in the 1m and 1.10m, placing second in both.

On the weekend of April 25 and 26, we had a great weekend showing at two different venues! On Saturday, we competed at the Windurra Farm combined test. Hannah and Taylor Woodeshick won both of their divisions and Samantha was third with Tracey Graham's horse, Dutch. Lizzy and Red jumped two clean show jump rounds, doing their first 2'7" round. Jaime and Tucker also placed, finishing second in the Novice. A fun cross country school after the combined test for all of the horses and we were on our way home for the day. On Sunday, Anastasia and My Lucky Clover competed at Princeton Show Jumping's USEF AA horse show and won Grand Champion in the beginner hunter division!

At the end of April, Wild At Heart and Samantha had a great opportunity to take a lesson from the very experienced equestrian, Anne Kursinski.  It was very educational and productive.  Watch a video of the lesson here

Congratulations everyone on a successful start to the show season!

Bucks County November Horse Show

We enjoyed this blustery autumn day at the Bucks County Horse Park! All of the horses were great. Barbara Satkowski's horse, Electron, brought home a blue ribbon with Samantha earning a 72.6% in Training Level Test 3 at his second show! He was so wonderful and it was so pleasing how he behaved with maturity years beyond his age today. Tracey Graham and Sugar were amazing to win their division from start to finish at their second horse trial ever. Tracey's second horse, ridden by Samantha today, won the dressage and jumped well, minus a spook by a random deer running out of the woods mid show jump round!  Robin Shomper earned a second place ribbon in the BN and Taylor Woodeshick was third in her very first horse trial!!!!! We have another eventer in the group! Tony Mayo rounded out the day to finish with a great show jump round with his OTTB Profit. Thank you to Bucks County Horse Park and all of the judges, volunteers and organizers for a great day.
