North Star Farm is officially open! Over the past several months we have seen the indoor completed, we moved into our house on the farm and added many more improvements to the property. We have so many more improvements planned for the short and long term and we are just so excited with how wonderful everything is already!
All of the horses are doing great in their various training programs and all of our students and riders are doing beautifully as well! We have had many ribbons won this year by many horses and riders. Hannah Woodeshick is currently attending the United States Pony Club National Championship which she qualified for through her results at several shows this spring. Hannah is an excellent young rider who also regularly competes in Dressage competitions. Most recently, Hannah and Barney won at first level at the New Jersey Horse Park, Dressage at the Park competition. Hannah and Barney were also First Level Overall Champion at this show! We are very proud of Hannah for all of her hard work and dedication to her horse and her riding.
Taylor Woodeshick has had some big success this year as well! All grown up at eleven years old, Taylor had a really successful day at the Regional Pony Club Show Jumping Rally. Taylor and her absolutely darling Pony, Beau, were superstars to jump many clear rounds that day. Taylor was amazing and remembered all FIVE of her courses that day! Well done Taylor!
Also competing at the Dressage at the Park show were students of Pierre's; Cheryl, Kim and myself. Cheryl did very well and continued to produce her mare through the Prix St Georges level, Kim placed very well at third level and Lucky Tiger and I won at fourth level both days of the show as well as being fourth level champions both days. Lucky Tiger was so happy to be back in the competition ring and it was a really special experience for me to compete him.
We have attended many other shows this spring and early summer, some of which are Plantation Field HT, The Ridge Jumper Show, NJHP Horse Trials and many others. Congratulations to all of students for all of their success' at these shows and others and please make sure to keep us up to date with all of your winnings!
We really look forward to seeing everyone throughout the summer!

What a Winter Wonderland it has become! As so many people all across the United States and Canada have experienced this winter, we are all definitely getting the full winter experience. We are really enjoying the beauty of our farm as well as the comfort it is providing our horses in this weather, that can be extreme at times. Both our Stable and Indoor Riding Arena provide a bright and comfortable place for our horses to feel relaxed in and we are so thankful for this. The horses are all enjoying some easy riding and will start doing a little more fitness work soon to start getting ready for a fun spring, summer and fall! Happy riding to all.

First Snow at North Star Farm!
Night check on Saturday November 23, 2013
As we approach the week of Thanksgiving here in the United States, Pierre and I would like to extend our gratitude and thanks for all of the people, animals, opportunities and good fortune in our life. This year has been very exciting as it has been a year of several big firsts. One of the things we are very thankful for is celebrating our first Thanksgiving at our new farm. The dream of this farm has been one that we have had and worked towards for a long time, we are so thankful that everything was able to come together!
We have met many, many people over the past year. We are so thankful for all of the kind people we have had the opportunity to get to know. We are so appreciative and thankful for all of our wonderful friends, clients and students and are grateful to be a part of the development of each horse and rider partnership.
We wish everyone a wonderful, peaceful and happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your time with family and loved ones.
Pierre & Samantha

The KWPN-NA Keuring was held at Iron Spring Farm on September 5, 2013. Incito Amor was presented in the dressage foal class and we are very proud to announce he was awarded First Premium Dressage Foal. Incito Amor is by Negro and out of Zsa Zsa who is by Prestige.
Negro has successfully competed through Grand Prix and in 2012 was awarded Preferent status by the KWPN. A quote from Negro's webpage describing his contribution to his offspring;
"Negro’s offspring are widely appreciated for the great cooperative nature, inquisitiveness, hard work, and of course the trade balance of Negro No. 1: the great hind leg use, and great potential for change."
"Negro’s children make a stir everywhere, with champions, approved stallions and daughters talked out in the USA, UK, Scandinavia etc. Despite his still young age, his children are competing and winning at the highest level, including the most famous son Valegro – who was 2011 European Team Gold Medal Winner ,2012 Olympic Team and Individual Gold Medalist and 2013 European Champion. Also through the powerful and positive influences of his genetics, he is becoming increasingly valued as a maternal sire."
Incito Amor's mother, Zsa Zsa, is a Ster mare that was awarded a top fives certificate by the KWPN for ranking as one of the top five dressage mares in the country during her Keuring Presentation. Zsa Zsa's sire, Prestige, is a successful Grand Prix stallion.

Summer has blown by before our eyes! All of the horses are thriving and making leaps and bounds in their training. Sunshine and Skylar have both become seasoned novice level eventers! They have competed at several USEA recognized shows this summer and both brought home ribbons. Sunshine was fifth in the ON at the Bucks County Horse Park in June and Skylar has placed at every show he has been to! Roxanne recently competed at her first show and placed sixth in the BN! Braxton is doing wonderfully in his training regime, he is such a lovely horse! Look for pictures and video of him soon! We are really looking forward to moving into our new farm and having indoor and outdoor riding rings to train in! Tiger is doing a lot of fitness work on the hills and is loving his rides. Once we are into our new farm he can get back to showing off his fancy dressage moves again Zsa Zsa and Incito will be attending the KWPN Keuring at the beginning of September and then we are headed to another horse trial just a few days later.
We are so thankful for all of the new people that we have meet since moving to Pennsylania. Pierre and I are both having a wonderful time working with new clients and helping them and their horses achieve their goals. One of the horses that I have been working with for several months is Mimi Garner's horse, Solano. He is an amazing and talented PRE four year old stallion. I began working with him over the winter and I am so impressed by his temperment, willingness to learn and talent. He made his horse show debut this summer earning a 68.5% at his first show. I am really looking forward to getting out more with him and helping him gain experience. So many other people that Pierre and I teach have made great progress and we are proud of every single one of you. Thank you to all of our clients for letting Pierre and I help you achieve success and happiness with your horses.

We are officially into Spring! It is sooooooo nice to see the beautiful shining sun and feel its warmth!!! We are having so much fun with all of our horses and we are enjoying getting out to some horse shows!
Pierre and Shakespeare kicked off the St Jacques Equestrian and Rolling Stone Farm show season with a great showing in Virginia. Pierre and Shakespeare competed in the Prix St Georges and won the class with a 69%! This was there first show together and the two got to know each other a lot at this outing and are looking forward to the next one!
Our next trip was to the Bucks County Horse Park for a combined test in the middle of April. Students Hannah and Jenna were amazing and came in first and second respectively. Sunshine did his first horse show here and was so good! He did a very nice dressage test and jumped well in the show jumping.
Sunshine and I competed at the Bucks County Horse Park again at the end of April and Sunshine did his first horse trial! Sunshine placed third in the BN and was a superstar!
Zsa Zsa and Incito Amor are doing wonderfully, look back soon for some new baby pictures!
We will be out at Plantation Field HT next and we hope to see you there!
Best and Happy Riding,
Samantha and Pierre

We are so excited to announce that Zsa Zsa's foal has arrived and he is a beautiful bay colt! He was born Saturday, February 8, 2013 at 1:55am at Rolling Stone Farm. Zsa Zsa and baby are now back at home with us and we are thrilled to see them both doing so well. The colt is a very sweet and personable little guy and already a pleasure to work with. He learned how to lead very quickly and easily and is a very quick study! Take a look at the videos below to get to know the little guy a little better!

Happy New Year Everyone and we wish you all good health and happiness in 2013! Pierre has been busy working and training at Rolling Stone Farm. He is really happy with all of the horses and looking forward to watching them continue to develop as he trains them. We received some really exciting news on Friday that Pierre and Lucky Tiger were invited to the Palm Beach World Dressage Masters at the end of the month! Unfortunately, due to the short notice, Pierre decided to pass his invitation on to the next horse and rider on the list. We were not planning on being in Florida this month and it was going to be too tight to get all of the preparations in place. Pierre is honored to have received this invitation none the less and is very proud of Tiger as this is his fourth consecutive invitation.

Well, I think that it is definitely safe to say that our horses got the message that they were getting a little vacation time!!!! They are all very happy and enjoying Pennsylvania.
Stirling, my wonderful Mother and I were the first of the crew to arrive in PA and we did it with Hurricane Sandy hot on our tail! After finishing a successful weekend at Chatt Hills with Jaeda where she finished 12th in the CCI**, Mom, Stirling and I headed North and Pierre and Jaeda headed back South to meet up with us later. The damage caused by Sandy postponed the moving van as well as the arrival of horses so Stirling, Mom and I had a few days to get to know the area before everyone else arrived. Mo and Jim Swanson were very kind to extend their home to us while we waited for everthing and everyone to arrive. Once horses, equipment and furniture started to arrive it was all here within 20 hours!!! Needless to say, things got a little busy! A moving van for the house, a tractor trailer with horses and then Pierre with our trailer and another four horses. Nobody's Business Horse Transportation is absolutely amazing and they are the very best in the business!!! Please go to them with any of your horse transportation needs. They were an amazing help to us and all of our horses arrived healthy and happy.
Upon arrival, Pierre had to turn around and get on a plane to MO to teach a clinic at William Woods University. The clinic was fantastic with some familiar faces and some new ones. Everyone learned a lot and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Pierre will continue to teach clinics and train riders and horses while working at Rolling Stone Farm so please feel free to contact us for more information on clinics and training.
Pierre is really enjoying working at Rolling Stone Farm and is very impressed with the quality of horses Mo and Jim Swanson are breeding. All of the stallions are very talented and Shakespeare RSF is a horse to watch for in the CDI ring soon!!!
I have all of my horses at a farm not far from Rolling Stone Farm and they are enjoying the change of scenery. We have a full cross country course where we are so all of my young horses are getting some great experience and cross country miles! I am working to build up clients in the Lehigh area and am currently taking on new students and horses in training. Please call me to find out more information about training and all referals are greatly appreciated.
Above is a photo of the Cross Country Course
Happy riding to everyone and I hope to meet many new faces in the Pennsylvania area soon!
Best Wishes and Happy Thanksgiving,
